Series Description:
Tales From Midhgardhur is a series of Norse short fantasy fiction - short stories set in the world of Midhgardhur (first introduced to the reading public in the novel The Saga of Asa Oathkeeper: A Midhgardhur Fantasy - available in Kindle and paperback formats from Amazon!). Midhgardhur is a primarily Norse-inspired setting, with stories that put a unique fantasy spin on retellings from Norse mythology, Scandinavian history and legend and folktale, or completely original stories that share that setting. The tone ranges from sword & sorcery adventure fantasy to grimdark, with occasional mythic fairytale undertones. If you enjoy fantasy fiction, Vikings, shieldmaidens, Norse mythology, dragons, monsters, sorcery and the like, you'll love Tales of Midhgardhur!
Category/Genre(s): Short Stories, FantasyAuthor Bio For Colin Brodd:
Colin Brodd grew up in the great state of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, but currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. His business cards read "Gentleman Classicist Extraordinaire." He has held many different positions in his life, but his main professional calling has always been a teacher of Latin and Classical Humanities. In addition to Latin and Ancient Greek, he enjoys working with Old English and Old Norse and other old Germanic languages. His favorite genres of fiction are fantasy and science fiction, and he has a great love of RPGs (role-playing games). His favorite nonfiction books tend to be classical and military history or linguistics and languages (especially the aforementioned Greek and Latin). He sincerely appreciates your interest in his work.

Acknowledgements:
I owe great thanks to my wife, Tanya Brodd, who makes my writing possible in so many ways, and who was also my first editor!
Notes:
Midhgardhur is my fantasy version of Miðgarðr (often translated "Middle-Earth," whence Tolkien's use of the term, more literally "Middle-Enclosure/Yard," "Middle-Settlement") - by any name, Earth, the world of mortals, as it appears in Norse mythology, legend, and folktale. My first novels are set in Midhgardhur, but I have a lot of stories from Midhgardhur that are not really novel material or length. These, then, are the Tales from Midhgardhur - shorter pieces set in that world.
